lesson from chinese bamboo tree

do you ever heard the story about how chinese bamboo tree grow?
long time ago i have a plan to plant chinese bamboo tree in my backyard..
so i started to prepare the ground ,planted a small bamboo seed, water it and fertilize it for a whole year and.. exept for a tiny sprout.. nothing happens
then i continue to water it regularly, and fertilized it for the second year, and then to your amazement.. nothing happens
in year three, i still water it, fertilized it,lovingly clear the weeds away and then.. still nothing is happens..
How discouraging i said.. i have planted my seed with love and hope. you obtained the best soil.. you water it faithfully.. and i also have given it the best fertilizer.. what is my reward? nothing i get, the bamboo still like the same since i planted it in the first year..
my last effort
water it, fertilize it, and continue to care for the precisious seed that i have planted.. and amazingly! still nothing is happens!!
then i looked around, noticing all the other plants in my garden have grown in leaps and bounds, stunning the eyes with their vibrant growth and life.. so gladdening my heart! but what from my precious bamboo seed?
for four years you will see nothing, except a tiny shoots sprouting from a bulb, no bigger than it was at the first year.. you can sing the encourage song to it,get angry and thrown up your hands in frustation
then just when you are ready to call it quits and lay down your watering can..
sometimes during the fifth year, something happens with my bamboo seed..
this is really happens ,ITS growth.. in the six week that follow, the chiness bamboo three grow as much as three feet every day,, until it grows to be NINETY FEET TALL!
after i learn ,i just know that this extensive network of root takes four years to develop before the tender bamboo shoots ever breaks the ground and head the sun..
so what other that i get from my experience?
life is often like chinese bamboo tree.. it is discouraging. we seemingly do things right, and nothing happens. we pay the price to prepare the ground, planted the seeds, and to faithfully, fertilize and cultivate, top water and weed, and still we see no result, but during the long years when there are no visible results, the bamboo tree was developing a mature, long reaching root that would sustain and nurture its explosive growth.

for those who continue to do things right and not discouraged, for those who persistent.. the reward will follow..
